However, depending on your tastes, they may not be the best for casual listening.
When we listen to music with the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 32 ohm, we feel like we can hear everything. Every instrument of vocal, no matter if they sat in the bass, mid, or treble range, receives clear articulation and separation. This allows you to appreciate every bit of the music. Where most headphones naturally bring the bass or vocals to the forefront, the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 32 ohm keeps everything even.
While this very flat frequency response opens up whole new worlds of detail to appreciate, for casual listeners, this can make music sound a bit well flat. Many songs feel so balanced that the overall effect is less full and engaging. Hearing every subtle nuance requires a bit more effort to appreciate the whole those details coalesce into. If you're in the mood to give your full attention to that detail, this can be an incredible experience. If you're looking for a soundtrack while you complete another task, however, you can't pay attention to all those nuances, and the overall effect can be less fulfilling. As one of our testers put it, "Listening to these headphones requires the kind of attention you'd give to a good book, in comparison the warmer sounds of most other headphones are like binging on Netflix."
Another great application for these headphones is as a monitor while you play or record instruments. In these cases, the flat frequency response lets you hear exactly what you're playing and how it mixes with the track you're playing over. We used these headphones while playing electric guitars and drum sets and loved the experience.
Without active noise cancellation, these headphones offer relatively little noise isolation. The closed-back earcups passively block out some noise, but we had to turn the volume of our music up when in coffee shops to drown out all of the background noise.
The Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 32 ohm has some of the largest earcups on the market. This design provides ample space, even if you have larger ears. The plush, fuzzy cushioning is also quite cozy. The headphones themselves feel a bit heavy, so you feel some pressure through the headband when wearing them for long periods. Even still, we had no issue wearing these all day while working in the office.

The Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 32 ohm is a pair of simple, no-nonsense, wired headphones. There aren't any on-headphone or inline controls, Bluetooth capability, or EQ adjustment. If you want any of those things, you'll have to look elsewhere.
The Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 32 ohm is one of the larger pairs of headphones on the market and does not fold up at all. It is much better suited to living on a deck or next to a guitar than traveling.
