Our Verdict

Among the stand mixers we've reviewed, the Dash Everyday Stand Mixer has a narrow range of functions it can effectively perform. The speed options are limited to high RPMs, best for whipping and beating. The size of the bowl restricts recipes to half and single batches. Moreover, the body of the machine is tough to clean. In truth, we think another kitchen appliance, such as a hand mixer, will render better results, give you more options, cost less, and will be easier to clean.

Our Analysis and Test Results

While the Dash Everyday Stand Mixer is a cute little machine, it's more of a toy than a proper stand mixer. We find it easier to suggest alternatives with products such as this than point out all the shortcomings. If you know that you want a stand mixer but don't want to spend an arm and a leg to get one, check out our budget-friendly options, like the Aucma 6.5qt or the KitchenAid Classic Plus KSM75WH. Both options are a bit of a step up in price but will live up to the expectations one has when purchasing a stand mixer.

For what it is, the Dash offers users the ability to whip egg whites, cream, and butter. The mixer is also relatively light, compact, and inexpensive. Given how lightweight it is, it's nice that this machine has suction-cup feet to keep it firmly planted on the countertop.

Thumper said, "if you can't say something nice, don't say nothin' at all." We agree. However, we would be remiss in our sworn duty to honestly review products if we didn't say that we are less than impressed with this kitchen appliance. The Dash doesn't meet reasonable expectations of a product that calls itself a stand mixer.

Like many of the lower-end mixers in our stand mixer review, the Dash requires lots of input from the user. The bowl requires constant scraping, and unincorporated ingredients must be manually mixed. Additionally, both the tilt-head and bowl removal require two hands to operate — much heavier machines require less. Plus, this machine is hard to clean.

Should You Buy the Dash Everyday Stand Mixer?

The Dash Everyday Stand Mixer is extraordinarily cheap. However, it can't knead, doesn't mix well, and requires a lot of babysitting to get it to whip. We do not think that this stand mixer is a contender — regardless of price.

What Other Stand Mixers Should You Consider?

The Dash Everyday Stand Mixer is a little stand mixer. Unfortunately, it's also wimpy, struggling with every task in our evaluation. If kneading is your primary goal, we suggest looking into the KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer or Ankarsrum Original. Otherwise, the KitchenAid Classic Plus KSM75WH or Aucma 6.5qt are wallet-friendly options that perform decently and might fit your needs.
