Eufy RoboVac 11S Slim Review

The Eufy RoboVac 11S Slim doesn't systematically clean, making it a poor choice if you are looking for a robot that can clean your whole house reliably. We would caution against this model unless you only want it to clean a single room.

Performance Comparison

Navigation

We started off our robot vacuum testing by rating and ranking each robot on how proficient they are at navigation. We looked at how easily each vacuum maneuvered around furniture, how they handled high-contrast flooring, and how quickly they could locate their docking base to recharge. The Eufy RoboVac 11S Slim did decently well, earning a score just above average.

We did find that this vacuum actually does a decent job of navigating its way around furniture. It does bounce around randomly but manages to avoid getting stuck. It also does a good job of finding its charging dock, provided that it has an unobstructed view of it. If it doesn't, then this robot takes absolutely forever to find its charging dock, forced to essentially bounce around randomly until it stumbles back into direct line-of-sight with it.

Fortunately, this robot did well with high-contrast flooring. Its edge detection sensors never triggered when going from light to dark flooring or vice-versa.

Home Coverage

Our next set of tests focused on how effective at cleaning your entire floor each robot is. We based scores on how much floor area each robot cleaned in our test room, how well each one did with spot cleans and multi-room cleaning, if you can create barriers to cordon off areas you don't want cleaned, and if they can automatically dock, recharge, and resume cleaning if their battery gets too low mid-cycle. The Eufy RoboVac 11S Slim delivered some unimpressive results in our minds, earning it a below-average score.

As we mentioned before, this robot isn't a great option for multi-room cleaning. Its lack of systematic mapping means that it will eventually clean multiple rooms but it's only by random chance. The spot clean feature on this robot is about average, covering about 30 square feet.

This product doesn't keep track of its cleaning progress so it also can't really pause cleaning, recharge, and pick up where it left off. This model also lacks any barrier system.

This robot does about average when it comes to cleaning a single room, getting most of the floor area but the performance is quite variable due to its semi-random navigation. Sometimes it gets most of the room, while other times it misses huge swaths.

Carpet Cleaning

The Eufy RoboVac 11S Slim continued its so-so performance into our carpet cleaning metric. We tested each robot with flour, rice, oats, and mini-wheats to see how effectively they clean. We also checked to see how closely each robot can clean along the edges of a wall. The RoboVac 11S again fell a little short, earning another lackluster score.

We found this robot leaves a perimeter of carpet uncleaned that measures about 3.5" across along a wall and up to 5" in the corner of a room.

Unfortunately, this robot barely picked up any of the flour from the short carpet. It did a little better with the rice on the flat carpet but left plenty nestled in the deeper piles of the shaggier carpet. It performed very similarly with the oats as well.

However, it did improve a bit with the mini-wheats, collecting all of the cereal on the flat carpet and only leaving 2 behind on the fluffier carpet.

Hard Surface Cleaning

Our testing procedure for hard floor cleaning performance is identical to carpet, with the tests run on a section of hardwood floor instead of carpet. The RoboVac 11S did about the same, earning another below-average score.

This vacuum left a slightly larger border of uncleaned area along walls and in corners, measuring about 4" across along the wall and up to 6.5" in the corner.

The RoboVac 11S Slim left tons of flour behind on the surface and in the cracks of the hardwood, only cleaning in the very center of its path.

It did a little better with rice and oats, cleaning the majority of the mess and only flinging a small amount off to the side.

The RoboVac 11S Slim also struggled to collect the mini-wheats, lacking the clearance to reliably clean up these larger items.

Pet Hair

Our final cleaning test for these robot vacuums rated and scored their performance at cleaning up pet hair from flat and fluffy carpets. Again, the RoboVac 11S Slim proved to be a bit of a disappointment, earning one of the lower scores of the group.

It barely collected any hair, leaving more than 80% behind in both tests.

Smart Connect

Our last metric looked at any smart features and functions these robots might have. The RoboVac 11S Slim again is fairly limited in this regard, earning it a low score.

This robot doesn't have any WiFi or app connectivity but does allow you to set a schedule with its onboard controls.

Value

While the RoboVac 11S Slim is one of the more inexpensive options out there, we found comparably priced models that performed much better in our tests and we would recommend those over this one.
